The Museum of Ancient Life!

On Tuesday, Erica & I headed to Thanksgiving Point with Derek & Mauri. We decided to check out the museum of ancient life! It was really cool, and we want to go back again sometime with Ryan!
Scooter - excited and ready to go pick up Erica & Mar Mar! (I can't get enough of his cute, cute smile!!)
Two excited kiddos - ready to go & check out the dinosaurs! (oh, and one puppy, too! haha!)

Man was I glad Erica was with me, not only for the company, but she carried both of the kids! Ok, this was just for a second, but since she is so good at lugging two kids around, I think it's a sign that she will have twins some day!
Still smiling! There is so much to see & do at this place! Very cool!
Scooter & puppy sitting on a bench!
Wow, check this out!
Crawling through the tunnel.
Me & Scooter Boy standing next to the big, huge dinosaur!
Playing with some dinosaurs!
Mauri was hiding her face - I can't remember why! There was another big dinosaur behind them, but I didn't have my camera on the right setting, so it didn't show up!
Scooter looked up at this dinosaur & said "I don't believe it!"
Scooter & me in front of the giant shark!
Digging in the dirt! Man, this little boy loves dirt! They had fossils burried in here & the kids could uncover them with little brushes! Scooter & Mar both had a lot of fun in here!
Me & my Merry Sunshine! Thanks so much for going with me Merry! We really had so much fun! Thanksgiving Point had $2 Tuesday's in August - so it was cool to get into that great museum for only $2! Even though it was a little bit crowded and really hot with so many people there, we had a blast!!

Worth the wait!

On Wednesday night my Mom, Erica, our cousin Nat and I went to Barnes & Noble for a book signing!! One of my very favorite authors, Shannon Hale, was there! We had to wait in line for a few hours, but it was definitely worth it! It was so fun to meet her - and she was so nice and signed all of the books I brought! I own several of hers, and I just couldn't bear to bring only one or two of them!! If you haven't ever read any of her books, you should check them out!

My New Fashion Advisor!

There have been so many times when I have asked Ryan: "Do you think this shirt looks okay?"/ "Does this shirt match with these pants?" etc. etc. He has always been my unofficial fashion opinion person -and quite honestly he usually refers me to one of my sisters when I seek his advice! ("I don't know, ask one of your sisters!"). Well, he will be excited to know that someone else has volunteered for this sought after position: Scooter Boy! I got dressed yesterday and then went into the bathroom to do my hair. Scooter came in & pointing at my shirt said: "No Mom! Not good! Too Tight!!!" Ha ha ha! I was cracking up! Once I stopped laughing I looked self consciously in the mirror- trying to decide if my shirt really was too tight! And then I laughed some more! What a fun little boy!

What's For Dinner?!

A while ago Ryan told me about this place called Ernies that had a really good breakfast sandwich. At first I didn't want to try it at all! He told me that it had: eggs, cheese, sausage, ham & bacon on it, and I thought - that's way too much meat for me! Then I tried a bite of one of Ryan's sandwiches, and it was seriously the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Soooooo yummy! The place where Ryan goes to physical therapy is close by Ernies, so we decided that when he was able to start physical therapy again, we were gonna celebrate by getting dinner at Ernies! So that's what we did - and it's So Dang Good! If you live close by - you should check it out! Seriously! Best breakfast sandwich ever!!
Yum! Looking at these pictures makes me want to eat it again! And it actually just reminded me that there is still half a sandwich in the fridge! Yay!
And this picture has nothing to do with Ernies, but I saw it when I was looking through the pictures & decided it was just too cute not to post!!!

Playing at the park!

Erica was doggy sitting this past week - Casey's family was in California so she watched their dog, Copper, while they were gone! He is such a nice dog, and we had a fun time going to the park with them!

Scooter, Copper, Erica & Ry!
Walking with Copper! Scooter wanted to carry the camera for me! He's such a big helper!
Petting Copper! This dog is seriously so nice! He just let Scooter pet him & pet him! He's so sweet!
Climbing up to the slide. Copper climbed up too, and even tried out the slide!
We had such a fun time at the park - and it was a perfect evening! It was cool but not cold and just felt so nice outside!
*Also - on a side note, Ryan went back to the specialist this week and as of now it looks like his ankle is healing great and he Won't need to have surgery! YAY!! We are so happy & thought this was such great news! He was able to start physical therapy again on Friday and he can start "walking" with the crutches! Yay hooray! Hooray! Hooray!

We LOVE The Library!!

I have always really loved the library! I am a big fan of books (what a shocker! ha ha) and so I think it is awesome that you can go & check out a bunch of books! This year we discovered the summer reading program at the library - and it was totally Awesome!! If you read for a certain amount of time each week - you take your reading sheet into the library and you get a prize! They have really fun prizes for the kids, too - like treats, little toys, and gift certificates for free food! They also do story time every week, and Scooter & I have had a blast going!! Today was the end of summer reading party and it was so much fun! I was really glad that we saw Casey's mom there (she's the head childrens librarian) so we could tell her thank you! I think it's so cool that people will put so much time & effort into things like this so my little boy can have such a good time!

Here's Scooter playing with the parachute!
These balls bounced off the parachute.
Playing with one of the prizes he got at the party. They had so many fun things to do. The kids got to spin this big wheel & whatever it landed on was what prize they got. They also picked a sucker off of the "sucker tree" and according to what color the stick was they got a prize for that too. They also had snow cones (they had lots of syrup on them too - just the way a snow cone should!!), spin art, Hawaiian dancing, Hawaiian tatoos (temporary of course!) and leis for everyone to make. The theme was "A Color Luau" - and it was really terrific!

So, thank you Library, and people who work at the library of course, for being so Awesome!!
(They have story time in the fall, too - if you live close you should definitely check it out!!)

Papa's Big Huge Truck!

A few nights ago my dad needed to park his truck at the truck stop in Springville, so we went with Erica to pick him up. Scooter thought it was great to see Papa's big huge truck!!

Papa & Derek. Derek was pointing at all of the big trucks!

Sitting in the big truck! Puppy had to come too, of course!!
With mom!
Scooter, me, Ry & Papa!
When we got back to our house Scooter kept telling us how he saw the big truck, and when he went to bed he said "Papa's big truck Again!!" He loved it!
