The Black Hole!

While I was looking through pictures, I realized that we never posted a picture of the hole in the trampoline! So, here is the hole! People were so surprised when we told them Ry jumped right through the middle- people always assumed we meant that he jumped through the springs! Craziness! But we're just so glad that his ankle is healing so well! We're so happy that he didn't have to have surgery!!

No Accidents = A Fun Family BBQ!!

We had a really fun BBQ on labor day - and it did not involve any trips to the hospital, thank goodness! Here is Scooter resting up before the big BBQ!
Such a cutie!!
Lins made these yummy peanut butter bars - and Mauri's shoe fell right in the middle! So Lins just cut that part out & we ate around it! They were really yummy!
Mar Mar! She is such a cutie! I can't believe how fast she's growing up! I don't see her for a week or two, and then we do something together and I think: how is it possible that she looks older since the last time I saw her?! She's so fun, & she & Scooter Boy have a lot of fun playing together!
I am taking a cake decorating class with one of my good friends (taught by another good friend, Angela!) and I wanted to practice cooking & frosting a layer cake, so I brought this cake to our BBQ. It turned out better than I thought it would!
Happy Kiddos- playing in the dirt! They love to play in this dirt pile (that used to be a garden) in Nana & Papa's backyard!

I didn't get a picture of Ryan walking around & grilling - but I wish I would have! He doesn't have to use his crutches anymore, Yay Hooray!! He doesn't even have to wear the boot anymore, just a brace under his shoe! It is so great for him to be able to walk around, and we're so grateful that his ankle has been healing so well! It's really a little miracle, and we're so thankful for it! :)

Friday! Field Trip Day!

Our field trip was actually last Thursday - not Friday - but I can't say "field trip" without thinking of that line in Madagascar! Tee-hee!
We went on a field trip to Nanny's work. And it was quite a field trip! Scooter kept talking about it the rest of the night - and he is still asking if he can ride in the golf cart again! Thanks for the fun field trip Nanny!

We brought carrots to feed the horses, and scooter wanted to eat one too! What a cute little man!
Checking out some of the horses with Nanny.
Waving to the chickens from afar! One time we stepped out of the golf cart pretty close to the chickens, and Scooter said: "Pet the chickens!" I said "No!" and ran to grab him, but I wasn't quite fast enough...the chicken puffed up all of his feathers and jumped right up in Scooters face! Poor kid- it scared him so bad! But luckily he didn't get hurt - it just scared him! A little later we were getting out of the cart again, and he went to step out and then looked at me and said "No get down! Chickens get me!" We promised we wouldn't let the chickens get him though!
So happy to be in the golf cart with Nanny!
Hello crazy chickens! Hello cute little, baby cows!
He really loved the golf cart!!

I guess it was a week for field trips! The next day my Mom, Mauri, Scooter & I went to the play The Wizard of Oz in Payson with Granny, Sue Ann & Ashley! It was the first time we've taken Derek to a play, and he loved it! He sat on my lap the whole time, and really had a lot of fun! I think he especially loved Toto!

And this is a little bit random, but after our field trip to Nanny's work, we had book club that night! We read The Hunger Games (by Suzanne Collins) this month - and it is one of those books that you start & you can't put it down until you are done!! It is very intense and draws you in from the first page! I couldn't stop thinking about that book for days after I read it! So anywho, I highly reccomend it! (and good field trip too!!)
