What a Sweetheart!!

I have been going to an Institute class with Erica on Wednesday nights, and it is such a great class! Our teacher is amazing, and I feel like I learn so much! Scooter also looks forward to Institute night because he gets to spend the night with Ry! They always do fun stuff together & Scooter especially loves to go to the store and get a treat with his daddy. A few weeks ago I was at Institute & while they were heading to the store, Scooter told Ryan: "We should get Mom some more flowers, since we had to throw her other ones away!" How CUTE is that?! So Ryan let him pick out some flowers for me at the store! Didn't he do a good job?! Can I just tell you that it made my night when I came home & saw these pretty flowers that Scooter picked for me all by himself!

Compromise

I told Scooter Boy that it was time to get dressed... He did not want to get dressed...
This was our compromise!

Scooter Says...

This sweet, fun little boy is constantly cracking us up with the cute things he says! Here are a few of the latest things he's come up with!

* We were watching "Planet Earth" & it showed some Llamas & he said: "I want those Llamas- in our house!" (yep, he's my kid, huh?!)

*Another time we were watching "Planet Earth" again, and a seal was chasing a penguin, and Scooter said: "He's not being nice...He needs to be kind to the penguin!"
*In December we got out one of my favorite advent calendars - and I told Scoot that I used that advent calendar when I was a little kiddo, to which he replied: "You're a big huge kiddo now!"

*One night we were driving in the car, listening to Josh (we listen to Josh all the time! ...We're also on a first name basis with him... ha ha! We wish!) and we had this conversation:
Me: "Who are we listening to?"
Scooter: "Josh!"
Me: "We like him, huh? Is he our favorite?"
Scooter: "No...Daddy is our favorite!"
*One night he was saying his prayer with a little help from mom. I said: "How do we start?... Dear..." and he said: "Dear Farmer Brown..." We had read "Click Clack Moo" a few too many times that day I guess! ha ha!

*It totally made my day when he said to me one day: "You're my best girl!" & another time he said: "You're a nice, good mommy!" I'm not sure it gets any better than that!
*We like to snack on frozen strawberries sometimes, and one day we were sharing a bowl of them & he said: "You should buy a big bag those strawberries for my birthday!"

*One night while getting Scooter ready for bed, I was being a little less than patient & said something like "Come on buddy!" He looked up at me and said, "You should just talk in a kind voice...Not a frustrated voice!" I just started laughing - it was just the reminder I needed!
*A few days ago I was telling Scooter a story about our family & I said something about "Ry" and he looked at me indignantly, and said: "His name is Daddy!" It was especially funny to me because he calls his daddy "Ry" or "Ryan" a LOT!

Oh, what a sweetheart! Not a day goes by that we don't thank Heavenly Father for sending us such a wonderful kiddo! We love him tons & just enjoy all the fun that he brings to our family!

We Love The ZOO!

Scooter has been asking for several weeks to go to the zoo, and so a few weeks ago we decided to spend a Saturday at the zoo! It was a little chilly, but not too bad! Here he is with his camera & back pack - he is all set!

The baby elephant was so cute!

The animals were all really active. Here the cougars were pacing all over and even roaring... or growling. Whatever you call it - it sounded really cool!
About 6 months ago, Scooter & I went to the zoo while Ry was in Green Bay. We bought a pretzel while we were there, and I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that he remembered not only the pretzel, but the exact little stand where we bought it! Unfortunately, the stand was closed this time. But, dad saved the day by finding another food place that sold pretzels! Way to go dad!!
The baby giraffe was really cute too! Animals are so fun - how could you not love walking around and taking in all the fun things to see?!

Do you measure up?!
Scooter loves the merry go round! I went on with him first, then he wanted to go again with Daddy.
And we had to pose together in front of the big elephant too! That's practically tradition!

Worn out after a day walking around the zoo! He fell asleep hugging puppy and his new elephant that daddy bought him!
