Our field trip was actually last Thursday - not Friday - but I can't say "field trip" without thinking of that line in Madagascar! Tee-hee!
We went on a field trip to Nanny's work. And it was quite a field trip! Scooter kept talking about it the rest of the night - and he is still asking if he can ride in the golf cart again! Thanks for the fun field trip Nanny!
We brought carrots to feed the horses, and scooter wanted to eat one too! What a cute little man!
Checking out some of the horses with Nanny.
Waving to the chickens from afar! One time we stepped out of the golf cart pretty close to the chickens, and Scooter said: "Pet the chickens!" I said "No!" and ran to grab him, but I wasn't quite fast enough...the chicken puffed up all of his feathers and jumped right up in Scooters face! Poor kid- it scared him so bad! But luckily he didn't get hurt - it just scared him! A little later we were getting out of the cart again, and he went to step out and then looked at me and said "No get down! Chickens get me!" We promised we wouldn't let the chickens get him though!
So happy to be in the golf cart with Nanny!
Hello crazy chickens! Hello cute little, baby cows!
He really loved the golf cart!!
I guess it was a week for field trips! The next day my Mom, Mauri, Scooter & I went to the play The Wizard of Oz in Payson with Granny, Sue Ann & Ashley! It was the first time we've taken Derek to a play, and he loved it! He sat on my lap the whole time, and really had a lot of fun! I think he especially loved Toto!
And this is a little bit random, but after our field trip to Nanny's work, we had book club that night! We read The Hunger Games (by Suzanne Collins) this month - and it is one of those books that you start & you can't put it down until you are done!! It is very intense and draws you in from the first page! I couldn't stop thinking about that book for days after I read it! So anywho, I highly reccomend it! (and good field trip too!!)

How fun! So, where does your mom work?!
We really had a good time! :) My mom works at a place in Mapleton called Discovery Ranch. It's a place for kids with behavioral & other problems- and my mom works as a mentor there! She really likes it, and as you can see, it's a fun place for field trips! Tee hee! :)screwyou1
