Swimmin'

We have been swimming a lot this summer - and it is so fun! Whenever I ask Derek if he wants to go swimming he says: "Wimmin!" It is so cute. I love the little words he says!

Derek's First Rodeo!

I love family traditions! One of our traditions is that we go to the rodeo in Spanish Fork on the 24th of July! My Granny always gets us great seats in the grandstands! This was Scooter's first rodeo, and I think he really liked it! His favorite part was when "The Wild Child" performed on his motorcycle! He just kept watching, and when that part was over he waved "bye bye" and did the sign for all done. It was so cute.


Here is Scooter sharing some animal crackers with Nana. Everyone was so great about helping us keep him entertained! He just moved up & down the line of people all night! He had so much fun, and so did we! Thanks everybody for your help! Here is Myke! I asked him if he was roasting in this hat, but he said he was ok!

Natalie and Livvy! Me, Lins and Nat were remembering one time when we were little and we brought a red flag with us to the rodeo - we planned on waving it at the bulls! Fun memories! It's so fun that we can all bring our kids to stuff like this now and share our fun traditions with them!

10 Days & Counting!

Since Stephenie Meyer's new book comes out in just 10 days (yay hooray!!), I thought this would be a fun time to post pictures from when we went to "The Host" signing in May. We were able to get tickets from The Kings English Bookstore, in Salt Lake, and went to the event at Highland High School. We all Love Stephenie Meyer's books, and we were So excited to be able to meet her, even if it was just for a few moments! We made matching shirts (When Lins told Glendon that we were doing that, he said: "You guys are like those wierd people that go to the Star Trek conventions!" tee hee!) It really was a blast to go! Yay for good books and great people to share them with!

Corn!

We are always so happy when Harwards start selling their yum yummy corn! It is the Best corn ever and I was so happy when Ry came home with some yesterday and Tuesday! Derek enjoyed his first taste of the best corn on earth! Yum!

Camping!

We went camping this past weekend and it was so much fun! Derek had a really good time! I think he loved waking up on Saturday morning and being able to go outside right after he woke up! (he loves to be outside!) Going camping always brings back such great memories for me, and I'm so glad that Derek can have those fun memories too!


Derek got a lot of dirt on his face that first day... and the second day too! He sure had fun though! And what's camping without a little dirt, right?!

Book Club!

We just had book club on Tuesday and we read "The Music of Dolphins," by Karen Hesse. It is a really good book. It is kind of different, but that is one of the things I liked about it! It is a good story and a really, really easy read! While I was at book club Ryan played with Derek. They had a really good time! When I got home, they were sitting on the couch sharing fries and a shake and watching "Finding Nemo." Is he a great dad or what?!?

Happy Days!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th! We had a BBQ at my moms, and Ry made his famous "bacon burgers," (they are seriously the yummiest burgers ever!!).
On the 5th Ry and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! He is seriously the best husband Ever and I feel like the luckiest gal ever to be married to him!! We went swimming at 7 peaks with Lins, Glendon and Mauri and then later we went to dinner at brick oven (just the 2 of us!). We had a great time at Brick Oven. No mishaps! (a few months ago we went to Brick Oven on a date and the waitress spilled a mug of root beer all over Ryan. He was soaking wet!! And what did I do?... You guessed it! I was cracking up! I was laughing so hard and I just couldn't stop! You can always count on me for that! tee hee!)
And today is Ryan's birthday! "Happy happy birthday, from all of us to you! We wish it was our birthday so we could party too! Hey!" It has been a very fun couple of days!

"Friday! Field Trip Day!"

Last Friday Derek & I decided to take a field trip up the canyon! Yay! Kelly's Grove & Jolly's were both packed with people - so we ended up at the Rotary park. It was really fun! We had the whole place to ourselves, and Scooter was able to just run around and have fun!
