Happy Days!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th! We had a BBQ at my moms, and Ry made his famous "bacon burgers," (they are seriously the yummiest burgers ever!!).
On the 5th Ry and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! He is seriously the best husband Ever and I feel like the luckiest gal ever to be married to him!! We went swimming at 7 peaks with Lins, Glendon and Mauri and then later we went to dinner at brick oven (just the 2 of us!). We had a great time at Brick Oven. No mishaps! (a few months ago we went to Brick Oven on a date and the waitress spilled a mug of root beer all over Ryan. He was soaking wet!! And what did I do?... You guessed it! I was cracking up! I was laughing so hard and I just couldn't stop! You can always count on me for that! tee hee!)
And today is Ryan's birthday! "Happy happy birthday, from all of us to you! We wish it was our birthday so we could party too! Hey!" It has been a very fun couple of days!

"Friday! Field Trip Day!"

Last Friday Derek & I decided to take a field trip up the canyon! Yay! Kelly's Grove & Jolly's were both packed with people - so we ended up at the Rotary park. It was really fun! We had the whole place to ourselves, and Scooter was able to just run around and have fun!

"The Vortex!"

We went to 7-peaks today. We got season passes this summer and so far it has been a blast! Lins, Glendon, Mauri and Aubs all went today too! And Erica & Casey came swimming before they had to work! (Erica, Casey & Myke work at 7-peaks!). Lins and I have been wanting to go on the boomerang - so today Ry and Aubs said they would play with the kids, and Me, Lins and Glendon went on the slide! The vortex is right by the boomerang, so we decided to go on that first. Lins and I went down in a double tube! (just FYI - the first part of the vortex is covered, and then you come out in a big bowl and you go around and around - like a toilet bowl! - and then you go down a little covered part and come out at the bottom). Well, Lins and I were going around and around, and we were laughing and we said "How do you get out of this?" We couldn't see the opening that drops down to the very bottom. Then we came around and we saw the opening, but somehow our tube went past it, and got totally stuck on the lip next to the opening. We were cracking up of course! But we were completely stuck. Our tube wasn't moving at all! And when you are in the big bowl, you can't see the lifeguards on the top or bottom - so we couldn't ask them what to do! We tried scooting the tube, but that didn't work. So Lins climbed halfway out of the tube and started pulling us! (I was a big help at this point, just sitting there laughing harder and harder!) Lins pulled & pulled and finally the tube started coming loose, so she hopped back on the tube and we started pushing against the side and we went around again and finally down the opening and out the bottom! We were laughing so hard! (after that we went on the boomerang without any troubles!!)

A few days ago Derek was hanging out with Auntie Aubs. He helped her in the kitchen - or rather got a piggy back ride from her! tee-hee! And then they went outside to swing for a while and he fell asleep! It was so cute!!

Family Camp!

Last week we went to my aunt & uncle's cabin in Fairview! It was so much fun! I have to say I have been bitten by the camping bug - I forgot how much I love to go camping & I can't wait to go again! We were able to be there on Thurs, Fri, and Saturday. They have 4 wheelers and Derek really had fun riding on those with us! There is also a swimming pool at the base of the mountain, so we had fun swimming one afternoon. We also played games (board games & the D.S.), ate really yummy food, and just had so much fun visiting with everyone! The only sad thing was that my Mom, Dad & Myke couldn't come - and we really missed them!


Yes, Ryan is really giving Derek some Pepsi! I couldn't believe it either! Now whenever Ry opens a Pepsi, Scooter thinks he should have some too!! Derek was very happy about this!

Update!!

I haven't posted for so long! Yikes! Derek had his first birthday on May 21 - and it was so much fun to watch him eat cake and open presents! Ryan's parents and his sister Katelynn were able to come out a few days after Derek's birthday, so we had a little party! My friend Angela made a BYU football helmut cake for the party, and she made Derek a little "Y" cake just for him to eat!
